How We Can Help

We're here anytime you need us.

At Dyer Funeral Home, we know planning a service can be a very difficult process for families who have just lost a loved one. It is our goal to provide those who are grieving with a supportive environment in which they can find comfort, say goodbye, and come to terms with the loss. Over the years, we have seen how gathering with friends and family gives everyone the opportunity to connect, share memories, offer words of sympathy, and create a lasting network of comfort and support.  Whether the choice is burial or cremation, we can help create a ceremony which serves to celebrate, honor, and remember the life of the deceased and meet the needs of family members.

Burial Options

We offer different options that you can choose for a loved one’s burial, depending upon your individual needs and preferences.  Our staff can answer your questions about the services available:

  • Funeral or memorial services can take place at a funeral home, in a church, or another facility. Whether traditional or unique, both the visitation and the funeral service can be personalized to reflect the individuality of your loved one. For more information, visit our page on personalization.
  • Visitation, also called a viewing, allows family and friends to gather in a room with their loved one in an open or closed casket and say goodbye. Friends can offer their support and sympathy to the bereaved and share memories of the deceased.
  • Graveside services are held at the cemetery, and allow family and friends to be present as their loved one is transferred to his or her final disposition through ground burial.
  • Immediate burial means that your loved one will be buried or entombed without a public service or gathering.

Cremation Options

At Dyer Funeral Home, we provide cremation services at our locally-owned and operated crematory.  Our funeral directors are available to explain all the choices available when cremation is chosen.

Families have many options available when the choice is cremation.  A traditional viewing and funeral can be held prior to cremation.  Alternatively, a memorial service can be held at the convenience of family members.  Additionally, a private viewing can be held for family members to say goodbye prior to cremation.  We can explain all the choices available when cremation is chosen.

After a funeral or memorial service, there are a variety of choices for your loved one's final disposition:

  • Interment means that you'll bury your loved one's cremated remains. This can be in a family plot at a cemetery or mausoleum.
  • Graveside services are similar to those celebrated alongside a traditional ground burial, in which loved ones are present at the burial of the cremated remains.
  • Scattering allows you to spread your loved one's cremated remains in a memorial garden, a cemetery, or across any other meaningful site. You also can choose to scatter some of the cremated remains and retain the remainder in an urn or keepsake.
  • Placing cremated remains in multiple keepsake urns or memorial jewelry allows family members who are separated by distance to each feel the comfort of having their loved one close.

Payment Options

We offer multiple payment options to help lessen the financial burden on your family during this difficult time. Talk to a member of our staff if you have any questions or need more information.
